Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Special Education Needs in our School

We group for some subjects across a Key Stage to support all our learners.

We have a whole school approach to children with additional needs and/or disabilities

We differentiate or personalise our curriculum to ensure that all children can access the teaching in our classrooms.

We have a special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO); this is Mrs. Krinks.  Her duties are to support the class teachers and ensure that all children have access to the curriculum and fulfil their potential. She is a passionate champion for children with special educational needs.

The SEN governor is Mrs Elizabeth Goda.

In our school we have:

• Quality First Teaching

• Additional intervention in small groups

• Individualised support​

Any child in receipt of or being awarded funding will have an Education Health Care Plan.

Schools and the local authority must publish a Local Offer which explains what support is offered.
