End of Key Stage 2 Performance

End of Key Stage 2 Performance (Year 6)

Children in Year 6 take part in formal, statutory tests towards the end of Year 6, usually in the second week of May. These tests assess the children's performance in reading, grammar, punctuation and spelling (GPS) and mathematics. On occasions, children may be disapplied from sitting the tests due to special educational needs or expeptional circumstances. In 2019, each individual child represented 4% of the cohort total. Writing is assessed separately through a portfolio of worh through the year via teacher assessment. Writing moderation is carried out in the school, with colleagues in the Fallibroome Trust and by Cheshire East Council.
