End of Key Stage 1 Performance
End of Key Stage 1 Performance
At the end of Key Stage 1 (in Year 2) the school is required to complete statutory assessments of the children's performance. The children (where appropriate) take part in Key Stage One assessments tests which help to inform the class teacher's assessment judgements. Children are assessed according to meeting the national expectations (for England only) or exceeding these standards. Schools in Wales and Scotland have different arrangements for assessing children at this age. The children are assessed in reading, writing and mathematics. Writing is assessed by teacher judgements only. Judgements are moderated within the school, with colleagues in the Fallibroome Trust and by Cheshire East Council. Each child's results at Gawsworth account for between 3.3% and 3.6% of the class total.
