Gawsworth Primary School is an aware school.  All visitors not known to us will be asked for proof of identification and if they have a current DBS.

All parent helpers and governors are required to have a DBS check before helping in school.

No parent helper or trainee has unsupervised access to children.

Our Safeguarding information file is held in school and is accessible to all parents.  The file contains information on our Safeguarding Policy; Anti-bullying Policy; E-Safety Policy; the Single Central Record which outlines the details needed for a CRB check; the Staff Code of Conduct; Whistle Blowing procedure; Compalint procedure and the Code of Conduct for Visitors, along with various other schemes and policies.

The internet is such a fun resource for everyone but we have to be constantly aware of the added risks that this can introduce into our daily lives.  Gawsworth School is constantly on the alert to prevent access to unsuitable material and contacts; and mis-use of the internet .  We continually emphasise the need for pupils to follow our strict rules for use of the internet - a copy of which can be accessed by clicking on the file at the bottom of the page.  For further information on 'E-Safety' please click on the picture links below.
