Gawsworth Primary School prides itself on the strong connections it has created with the local village community and organisations. There is a wealth of ancient history connected with the village which is eagerly displayed in the architecture of Gawsworth Hall and St. James' Church, not to mention the beautiful settings surrounding both buildings. The pupils at the school frequently visit the church for the annual Carol Service as well as the recently created Christmas Tree Festival where the children represent Gawsworth School by decorating their very own tree. The Hall is home to the famous open-air theatre which is attended by Year 6 as a yearly treat. The pupils are also regularly invited to visit the Hall to view the ancestoral home of the Richards family.
